Spray diaries tell you what was applied. Inventory records tell you what you have, where it came from, and where it went. Today we're releasing inventory management tools that connect the two.
Stock receipts
When product arrives, record the receipt with supplier details, batch numbers, purchase date, and quantity. This creates the paper trail auditors expect — you can trace any container in your store back to when and where you bought it.
Multi-location tracking
Most operations have more than one chemical store. You can set up multiple storage locations per vineyard and track stock at each. Transfers between locations are recorded, maintaining a complete movement history.
HSNO compliance fields
New Zealand's HSNO requirements mean certain products need additional tracking. The inventory system captures:
- Hazard classifications for each product
- Approved handler requirements where applicable
- Storage compatibility groupings
- Tracked substance records for Class 6 and 8 chemicals
This information displays alongside your stock levels, so you can see at a glance which products have special handling requirements.
Connecting to spray records
When you record a spray application, the system can deduct the quantity used from your inventory automatically. This keeps stock levels current without manual reconciliation, and flags when you're running low on products you'll need for upcoming applications.
Stock takes and adjustments
Physical stock doesn't always match records — containers get damaged, products expire, or quantities were recorded incorrectly. Stock adjustment tools let you reconcile differences with a reason code, maintaining audit trail integrity while reflecting reality.
The inventory module is available now under the Inventory tab in any vineyard account.
